I have to post a rave about our accommodation in Bathurst on the weekend because it was top notch.

We stayed two night at Tannin Apartment close to Bathurst town centre.

This place is a part of the history of this gorgeous old city.

Tannin Apartment was built around 1845. It was once a separate outbuilding to the original residence of William Page who established the first tannery in Bathurst. His residence, ‘The Tannery’ is the oldest existing house on the western side of the river.

Murray and Annie bought the place in 2011 and set about lovingly restoring it.

They’ve done wonders.

It’s a gorgeous little apartment and was perfect for Luisa and I. It features a mix of new and old. We loved the restored heritage kitchen and living space. The place has a modern bathroom and laundry and a large bedroom with french doors opening to a private courtyard.

I know we’ll be back.

The rates are very reasonable. If you want to find out more you can email anniebee@nsw.chariot.net.au
