Good morning. Welcome to Wednesday.

We’ve made it to the middle of the week.

It’s going to be a dirty day in Canberra.

Today the mercury will struggle to make it into double figures. The wind will blow, the rain will fall and lighting imageand thunder will strike. It doesn’t sound good does it ?

How low will the snowline be ? God knows. I fancy we may get some flakes in the suburbs.

I think the team at the weather bureau are sick to death of predicting snow for Canberra because it certainly hasn’t materialised this winter.

I had this misplaced belief that there wouldn’t be much ice on my car windscreen at 3.30 this morning. I was wrong. It took me a while to clear that.  The kangaroos never seem to mind the cold. They were out there in great numbers so watch out for them

imageDo spare a thought for the people in the high country. The forecast maximum for Thredbo today is -2 degrees. It’s -3 right now with a wind chill of -13. If you walk outside at Thredbo or Charlotte Pass right now without a beany on, you’re likely to lose your ears.

It might be an idea to just stay in bed today, cause it ain’t going to be pretty.
