Get the bike out and come for a ride with us this weekend. There is no better place to do it than the shores of Lake Burley Griffin and this weekend you can come out and raise your heart rate while also raising money for a wonderful cause.
Lifecycle weekend is nearly here.
This is the third year of what is already a massive event in the ACT.
We’re on from 9 o’clock Saturday morning through until 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
As long as you can stay upright on a bike, you should be a part of it. We’ll all be raising funds and awareness for the Leukemia Foundation. You can ride as an individual or as part of a team. You pick the time when you ride and how long you ride. It’s so flexible.
There are two routes available for riders. The short 5km loop traverses Kings Ave and Commonwealth Ave bridges. It is designed for beginners, junior school groups and families with children. If you don’t like hills, then you’ll like this ride. If you’ve never ridden a bike around the lake, do it this weekend.
The long 21km loop takes in the entire West Basin, for those comfortable with the longer distance.
You can register for lifecycle here.
